Board of Equalization has not filed a claim and is still adding late fees
I have a pre-confirmation Ch 13. The time for creditors to file claims has passed. Government creditors have about another week.
Board of Equalization was listed but has not filed a claim and is still sending bills to the debtor and calling her. They are also continually adding new fees, penalties and interest on pre-filing debt.
The debtor assures me she has told them she is in a Ch 13. Is this proper? Doesn't the stay apply to the state government?
Isn't there only recourse to seek relief through the bankruptcy court?
Also, can they continue to add penalties on deb incurred pre-filing?
