Private disability: judgment proof?

I'm trying to help a prospective client avoid bankruptcy, if possible. He's
post-judgment, and disabled. He paid into a private disability policy, and
now gets $7,000 a month from that, on top of $2,000 Social Security income.
Query: is his income judgment proof? I've never seen this type of policy
payout, and cannot find anything on point (though it seems most analogous to
an annuity or pension). Can judgment creditor get their hands on his
income?
