Requirement to be Professional

Now that I know there are debtor counsel on the list serve, I don't have a problem with it. As someone pointed out, its helpful to see their viewpoint. Maybe they can help solve some problems. I don't think that forwarding critical posts to persons outside the listserve is something that experienced counsel do. We are all familiar with the problem of unintended consequences. Today it may be a hostile comment about a credit union forwarded by somebody hoping to curry favor or get a new client--and if we act like that's okay -- tomorrow somebody will feel justified forwarding comments about an unreasonable new judge or trustee, or even a careless comment. My point is its not ethical, because we use our names, not a handle. We send our posts to each counsel in the group, if we wanted to let the world at large know how we feel--there are other forums for that. We could send a letter directly to the company also.
Otherwise, we are going to go back to long, boring disclaimers at the bottom of our posts. The worst result would be that somebody has important information and decides not to share it or is hesitant about asking a question.
