Bank Levy by Sherriff - 522 avoidance

Recent levy placed on Debtor's bank account. Considering Ch 7, listing the $$ in B and exempting under C, and requesting a release on the levy.
Would the process be the same in a Ch. 13? Advantages/disadvantages for one Chapter over another?
