No up - front fee. You are correct, separate and apart from the BK charges. I would say (and a few of you will smile) the hardest part is collection after the mod is completed. Of course, in a Chapter 13, the supplemental fee application works very well.

When you say "retainer," I take it you mean that compensation is collected after the work is done separate and apart from the bankruptcy charges or have you figured out a way to charge a retainer up front in compliance with the law?
