Does anyone have experience with filing a chapter 7 wherein the debtor is expecting a large "personal injury" settlement?
I am wondering how likely it is the trustee will first try to challenge that it can't all be for personal injury, then try to challenge what is necessary for her support. She just got a job making $14/hr. and has few expenses. She has no retirement. She is 46. The settlement will be about $270k for the injury from a bad medical device that was placed in her body.
Much thanks,
Christie Cronenweth
