The DWP has a bankruptcy division. If you fax them the notice of bk, they
will restore electricity and power that day. However, the debtor needs to
provide a deposit within 60 days.

Subject: [cdcbaa] Utility (LADWP) cut off client's electricity. How well
does 366 work in Los Angeles?
Client came to me to file chapter 13 before his foreclosure, which is
scheduled in a few weeks. He had large balance ($785) with LADWP (Los
Angeles Department of Water and Power) and they cut off his
electricity.
