substantial consummation in individual Ch. 11 cases

In the olden' days (pre-BAPCPA) we used to file Final Decrees and
requests for discharge pretty much immediately after the plan was
confirmed in order to stop the D-I-P from having to continue to make
the quarterly payments to the OUST.
I recall hearing that this is no longer possible for individuals
under BAPCPA. Can those of you who've done some under the new laws
confirm/deny/explain this? Does it work like a Chapter 13 now where
there must be separate motion for discharge filed at the end of all
plan payments (along with some sort of motion for recordable order
on avoidance of any liens that were stripped earlier in the case)?
