It would depend on whether Green Point is just a collection agent or whether
they purchased the loan.

Name them all. Look at the Deed of Trust, any subsequent notices, and the proof of claim, run a property profile or search, and name and serve them all. Whoever controls the servicing will respond or not respond for all of them, most likely.
I assume this is a Chapter 13?

In Los Angeles Central District, in an avoid junior lien on principal residence,
if a 2nd mortgage has been charged off by GMAC and the collection agency is
Green Point. Who should be the defendant in the adversary proceeding to strip
the unsecured 2nd mortgage?
Thanks
