Pre-filing planning for sole proprietorship=20

Dear Members:
This is a forum for lawyers where censorship should be avoided.
If a question is "improper", object to it, but don't strike it.
This forum has helped me rewire my thinking on occassion.
So one suggestion is make sure that all
tax returns have been filed and reviewed, and tax liabilities are known,
and
nondischargeable taxes are minimized before filing.
Also, charge him more that a wage earner.
Good Luck starts with a strategy and a plan. Form a strategic alliance

I disagree that it is an improper question, but I do think it a good
example a case where you should request someone that is knowledgeable in this
area (that most definitely is not me) to associate in so they get paid andkeep you from malpracticing. The reason they need to get paid is that
questions will be endless in a more complex matter and they will be teaching you
something valuable while keeping you from violating your ethical duties. The line between questions that are asking too much and those that are notare not crystal clear. The board will be attempting to set up some
guidelines and protocols for these sorts of things. While they will not be
binding in the sense that an experienced practitioner cannot give away his or
her time wholesale, they will make it clearer when one should be looking to
associate someone in or at least not be surprised that the response to thequestion is that the person should associate with someone more knowledgable.

Matt:
With all due respect, this is not a proper question for the listserve. Ifyou cannot handle this case, please refer it to someone who can. We are
always ready, willing and able to help people with specific issues, but
strategizing an entire case is, in my view, out of bounds.
