Cancellation of Insurance

Mates,
An insurance company wrote a one year policy of insurance for Motel X, which
is comprehensive insurance. Motel X filed a Chapter 11 case and then did
not make a post petition payment. Can the insurance company cancel the
insurance and not file a motion? My hunch is yes.
