We recently added MalwareBytes because Sophos and our other anti-virus software was missing something that slowed down my secretary's computer and then made it freeze. Turns out that somebody had sent her an Email (supposedly from a friend who works at a school)which said that as part of a science fair project would you please send this Email to 10 people, don't forward, simply cut and paste the entire message. After she did it, turns out Friend didn't send it.
I got an Email from my brother in New York directing me to a special website about some political issue. That brother is a sculptor who hardly Emails anybody so I knew that was a phoney. So I think these are new trends.

I even got one supposedly from a lady missionary in a small village in Africa where gold was discovered nearby and they needed an honest attorney to help sell it and distribute the money for the benefit of the villagers.
We have multiple scans of our Email, and that one had malware and several different nasty programs attached to it. Probably they figured people would send that Email around.
