Please see appropriate provisions of the California Code of Civil Procedure

Subject: [cdcbaa] Social Security Disability Income
Good afternoon.
A PC has her SSD income deposited directly into her bank account. Can a
creditor levy that income once it is deposited, or is the income "judgment
proof?"
Thank you

Thank you Jonathan.
Does CCP 704.080(b) have any bearing? I found a list of dollar exemptions
allowed without claim.

They can levy the bank account. Then the PC must show that it is exempt.
There is some talk about a change to the banking laws that would require the
banks to verify that no SS income is in the account prior to the execution
of a levy. However, it is still up in the air.
