Dear Paul:
I have dealt with a similar issue before. The Employer cannot stop
garnishment until they receive an order from the Sheriff's Department.
Therefore you contact sheriff department handling the bankruptcy and they
then inform the employer. Chase isn't the one to contact employer to tell
them to stop collecting.
This has been my experience with stopping wage garnishments.
