That is why I am willing to use this jerryrigged "reaff", instead of a
redemption. Hopefully it will be the path of least resistance, altho I am
not completely comfortable with it.

I filed a motion to redeem personal property in Judge Riblet's court in a
Chapter 7 case. She said that it involved injunctive relief and that I would
have to file an adversary proceeeding. The property was only worth $500.

Hey, I was in your shoes just a few weeks ago! Just had my
redemption approved today and signed by the judge. Fortunately, it
seems that redemptions are fairly standard affair and not too
complicated, but you will probably need court approval for the
redemption. File the motion for authority to redeem and for payment
of attorney fees if any.
It is a redemption, and not reaffirmation, you want for your client
as it allows your client to pay the lump sum of the fair market
value of the property rather than the full amount of the original
secured loan.
Like I said, this relatively new to me too so fellow members feel
free to chime in.

We have made agreement for debtor to redeem car for lump sum in Chapter 7. I have not handled one of these before and I want to make sure I don't screw up. The creditor, Wells Fargo Financial, has faxed me a reaff for the lump sum amount. Other than my client and I signing the agreement, what needs to be done.
All nuts and bolts advice is greatly appreciated.
