The furniture can't be worth as much as they paid for it. Negotiate the FMV of the property down. If Bass won't deal, their best bet is to return the merchandise.

Does anyone have experice with Bass and Assoc. (a law firm) repossessing
Levitz furniture after the 341a, if the debtor does not reaffirm or surrender the
furniture?
Debtor has a 'no pay until 2006' deal for about $2500 worth of furniture bought
months prior to considering bk. Bass wants them to reaffirm or surrender. They're
not in a position to make a lump sum offer and want to keep the stuff. The re-aff
deal is pretty cheesy.
thanks for the help,
vicki
