Thank you for naming the elephant in the room. I have known attorneys who
have diversified their practices.

Congratulations Ty. And, you may be right to get your retirement benefits if
you can (you may be kidding). How about politics or teaching? Otherwise, you
could lose your life prematurely (for a government that put you out of
business). CF

Hale,
I've just received my legal specialist certificate in consumer bankruptcy
two weeks ago but am also fearful of the future. Upon the new BK law coming
into effect, I will immediately reenlist in the U.S. Army Rangers and
finish off my final 4 years to retirement. Please email me if you wish to
join me!

Have any of my fellow BK practitioners thought much about how they'll
make a profit and put food on the table in November? If we have to
hire accountants and other experts to examine receipts and review
information, I don't see how those that qualify for a Chapter 7 will be
able to afford one.
As self-employed business owners, we have to adjust to the changing
landscape. Offer just Chapter 13s? Do Estate Planning? Wally Thor
TruckMasters?
There's opportunity in here somewhere, if we are forward-thinking enough
to anticipate it, perceptive enough to find it, and courageous enough to
act on it.
