Dismissed bankruptcy - how to get paid?

Hello all,
I had a bk filed and dismissed in Los Angeles (Nancy Curry Trustee) where
the trustee sent the debtor the balance of the estate funds and didn't pay
out the remaining attorney's fees. Are we simply out of luck if we don't
get our cases confirmed?
