Attorney's fees for reduction of child support
Hi, all.
Section 523(a)(5) covers even attorney fee's for child support, and
these are nondischargable. Would this extend to the attorney fee's
incurred post-divorce to reduce child support payments? Most on-point I
can find in a cursory search is the 9th Circuit case * *_In re Catlow,
663 F.2d 960_, holding that post-divorce attorney fees were
non-dischargable (per state law of Arizona).
Is the guy who has post-divorce attorney fees going to be stuck with
them after a Chapter 7? (and yes, I'm always jittery about clients
would have already stiffed one attorney...)
