warning on relying on tax transcripts

I know a lot of us have relied on the "official" tax transcripts from the IRS in determining dischargeability and other factors relating to taxes. I just ran into a new one that you all ought to be aware of (if you'll pardon my ending a sentence with a preposition):
Debtor receives notice of taxes due for 1992-1994. I order the record of account (Transcript) for those years. The Transcript shows a zero balance due. I call up the practiioner hotline and ask, "hey, what gives".
The bottom line response was that there is another, "special" transcript that this agent could not fully access, so I had to call another phone number to order the "other" transcript which does show the balance due.
I'm not sure what this means for each of us, but all I can say is that apparently it is not enough to rely on the official transcripts because they may not contain everything...
Perhaps Morgan King can assuage our concerns...
