The contact us method does work, but it can take days to hear back. I know it is a few more $$$, but I usually have a copy delivered to the Office and obtain a received-stamped copy.

The L.A. office NEVER picks up. What I usually do, and it always works, is to go to their website and I fill out a Contact Us form.http://civil.lasd.org/ContactUs/cwfb.asp?6
Be very specific in your message, include court case number, levying officer number, dates, names, etc. Someone from that office will email you either the same day or the following business day.
