Dear Mark,
If this is a Chapter 7, contact the Trustee and ask if the 341 can be conducted by interrogatory. I haven't had any problem when there is a good reason - and yours is a good reason. The Trustee will give you the interrogatories, which you should forward to your client to answer and have notarized. Then send the notarized document to the Trustee. If it is a Chapter 13 I think you may be out of luck in Riverside.
