I'm with Hale. Fastcase works great and I also use Google Scholar.

Subject: [cdcbaa] Lexis vs. Fastcase
Hi Everyone,
Checking to see if any members have experience using Fastcase as their primary research tool. Our Lexis contract is up and the NACBA deal for Fastcase is very good but we do not have any experience with Fastcase. Any insight would be appreciated.

I use Westlaw, primarily for the Rutter Guides which I get for about $50 per month. My research for California, state and federal cases costs another $160 per month and use it occasionally. For items outside of my subscription I use Google Scholar, but have used Fastcase occasionally with similar good results.

I agree with Hale. FastCase takes a little getting used to, but the
customer service staff are very gracious in walking you through the process.

Erik

I rely on http://scholar.google.com and FastCase (via NACBA) and while it's
not as elegant as Lexis or Westlaw, the right search terms bring up the same
results. I have never found myself missing Lexis, which I gave up 5 years
ago.

Just my $0.02.
