Stamps in 704.040
I'm thinking of using CCP 704.040 for art, collectibles etc. to protect a stamp collection in a case with significant home equity.
704.040 reads: Jewelry, heirlooms, and works of art are exempt to the extent that the aggregate equity therein does not exceed six thousand seventy-five dollars ($6,075).
Now it's $8K
I was going to try this with a classic car and there's definitely case law it will not work.
A stamp collection could be heirlooms or works of art.
Any opinions?
