We've road-tested the 12/2018 Chapter 13 plan now for almost a year.
Hearing your input, the /cdcbaa/ Chapter 13 committee has been working
with judges and trustees in the Central District to make changes to the
form so that it can handle with clarity most situations we typically
see.  Class 3A is now for Unimpaired Claims to be Paid Directly by
Debtor (direct-pay cars). Also, there's a new Class 3C that would allow
paying /arrearages only/ on a vehicle without putting the entire car
loan into the plan. Class 3C is subject to objections by trustees etc
(the guess is some divisions and trustees will accept it, others won't),
but at least judges have something they can rule upon, and in our view,
it's better than not including it at all.
If you have any comments, please get them to me (Hale) in email or here
on the listserv _by tomorrow, Friday, noon_. The judicial committee
working on this is hoping that this new plan goes into effect early 2019.
Thank you all for your previous feedback on this plan's revisions, time
spent at meetings, and participation from the /cdcbaa/ membership. Input
on changes like this is a major part of our organization's purpose. And
great job and leadership by our president Roksana Moradi, along with the
full /cdcbaa /Chap 13 committee.
