We've used RocketMatter since is was in beta (I was a beta tester for
Rocket Matter as well as for Clio). At the time, I preferred the user
interface as well as the customer service offered by Rocket Matter. There
are a number of bankruptcy lawyers using both platforms, all happily so.
Any change in your case management software will involve growing pains;
look to features and ask for a demo to play with for a few days before
making a jump.

I used to use Clio for practice software and billing. I've moved to Actionstep, which I like better. However, my billing department has not yet made the move to Actionstep. Based on what I've seen of Actionstep, I like it better for billing.

I currently bill as I work but then separately create a bill from my notes. I want a program that will essentially spit out a professional bill for me without much additional work or duplication.
I have heard very good things about Bill4Time. However, Bill4Time appears that it would need to be used in conjunction with separate Case Management Software.
I am searching for opinions and recommendations on current billing software and/or case management software ("CMS"). Maybe it makes sense to have separate CMS and billing software if there is no good options that combines both well.
There appears to be a lot of options out there (Clio, MyCase, etc.) and I would prefer to get recommendations from this group before spending a lot of time and effort experimenting.
Price may also be somewhat of a factor as Clio seems to have a pretty hefty per user charge (something along the lines of $79.00 per attorney and $25.00 per staff I believe per their most recent price increase)
Thanks in advance.
