I knew. Each of us that knew probably had an issue related to it. For
example, I was very interested in whether trusts can file for bankruptcy
which directly leads to definition of corporation and is the reason why a
family trust cannot file.

I've been practicing bankruptcy law since 1999, initially only for business
entities and very few millionaires, and actually took more than one
bankruptcy law class in law school before that and yet I did not realize
this until a few months ago (perhaps because I also completed a
corporations law class, among others, and assumed I did not need to look up
such a basic term), but I was wondering if people would answer the
following question honestly:
How many of you did not know before that "corporation" is a defined term in
the bankruptcy code - Section 101(9) - used to describe other business
organizations and even a business trust (which is not usually a collective
entity)?
I would really appreciate responses. I wish whoever prepares the
bankruptcy forms would use more generic terms, such as "business
organization" or "other entity", instead of taking a widely used and

I tried to respond to the poll, however there are some judges missing. Our last cc adversary was before Greenwald. He's not on the list. I also noticed that Lax is missing.
