Dear constituency list members of the Insolvency Law Committee:
On July 26, 2016, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit announced its appointments of Bankruptcy Judges William J. Lafferty and Julia W. Brand to 7-year terms on the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel.
Judge Lafferty has been a judge on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California since 2011. His appointment to the BAP was effective August 1, 2016.
Judge Brand has been a judge on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California since 2011. Her appointment to the BAP will be effective December 1, 2016.
