State Disability and Unemployment Income
Excellent...Thanks. I'm pretty sure the State disability is not funded by
SS so it IS income.

To the extent that EDD insurance is funded by Social Security it is not
income. Can't speak to disability payments.
Had this issue 3 -4 months ago and argued successfully on the basis that EDD
is presenlty [in Cali anyway] funded by Social Security.
Not at the office just now but I did find cases on point. If you're with
NACBA the research utility they have will pop up some cases.

I believe it is considered uncome by the OUST. I am not aware of any court rulings on the issue.

What is the position of our courts and OUST on income received by debtors
from the EDD for state disability and unemployment..is this income
considered part of the social security act and NOT included in the means
test or Schedule "I""J" available income tests?
