Thanks Holly, it's a good tip because otherwise I wonder if I could have handled a potential client better--and maybe its me that isn't tactful.

I don't know if it's proper to post this here, but I thought I would give
you a headsup about "Steve" with the nonprofit. He appears to be shopping
attorneys. He was condescending and rude (a knowitall) and tried to argue
with me in our 5 minute conversation. I ended up hanging up on him because
he was so rude. "Use your common sense", he said, and "Obviously, you don't
know ANYTHING about nonprofits," he said. He said he'd spoken to at least
one other attorney but that it hadn't worked out (wow, shocker there).
Maybe it's true I don't know anything about nonprofits, but I wasn't about
to entertain his rudeness any longer. Since the nonprofit owes him $150K on
a loan, I was just trying to determine whether this was an asset that was
likely recoverable to him because if so, a trustee would want it. I didn't
get very far on that analysis, however, before I told him he was rude and
that I was hanging up.
Just a heads up in case he calls you.
