I got an email from him when he left for an accounting firm saying to
contact Sergio Gomez and David Wei at the same branch, whom he trained
personally in opening DIP accounts.

David Lara is no longer with US Bank in S. Pasadena. Does anyone have a
suggestion of who to use in the Glendale/Pasadena area?

Go to US Bank in South Pasadena. David Lara sets up all of my DIP's
accounts quite ably and rather quickly. They even get a debit card. His
direct number is 626-403-7900. Tell him I sent you.

We've been to 4 of them now, all big names, all on the list, and they
all start it and then give an excuse such as "you needed an account with
us previously" or after a week of jumping through hoops with Citibank,
which included tons of documents and a site inspection we were turned
down.

My clients have opened DIP accounts with Wells Fargo and Montecito Bank and
Trust without too much difficulty. I believe the UST has a list of
approved banks for DIP accounts.

Folks, this is unbelievable. The names of the below have been changed,
except mine, to protect the innocent.
After over a week of working with Citibank, jumping through hoops after
3 banks had started the process and turned us down before, we got the
following email:
*** and Steve
I submitted everything you guys provided including the explanation about
the Factoring piece. Now I have to apologize on behalf of CITI as I
guess Policy will not allow anyone to approve me to open this account.
Even though I know the whole purpose is to collect funds that are due
and the business no longer will be doing business under the factoring
piece; CITI policy will not allow me to open this dip account. I want
you to know I jumped through hoops to get this going but was unable. If
you'd like I can call some of my friends at other institutions to find
out who can open this type of account? I am so sorry and hope some how
we can still maintain our working relationship.

She really did try but we're going nowhere fast. Anyone have any
suggestions?
