Dear Listmates,
I have a PC who has been separated from her husband for several years. They've lived apart and filed separate tax returns for years but have not taken the last step of finalizing a divorce. Her husband has property and assets and there is a premarital agreement in place to keep all assets separate. PC made some bad investments during the course of the marriage and is now being pursued by creditors and is also a card holder on some of her husband's credit cards. They've asked the credit card companies to take her name off of the accounts. Does anyone know the impact a bankruptcy would have on her husband's credit report? Could her creditors look to him for repayment of her debt when she was the sole borrower? Any guidance would be appreciated!
