To CDCBAA group: I am still befuddled, re the new CD CA Bky Court
Local Rules, about the following: how many paper copies are we
required to send to the bky court.
I understand that we now have to list the assigned bky judge on the
proof of service, and whichever address that judge has listed in the
appendix to the new court manual as to what address that judge wants
to be served at. That's ONE paper copy that we send to the court.
My question is this: do we still have to send a paper copy to the
filing window? OR NOT? i.e., does sending the paper copy to the
judge take the place of sending the paper copy to the filing window?
(ONE paper copy) or do we have to do both (2 Paper copies).
David, can you forward this email to Jeff Kozad, and ask him to
answer it saturday. Meanwhile, anyone who thinks they know the
answer, do please respond to tell me (and anyone else who is unsure)
the answer. Thx.

I am pleased to announce that we have an additional speaker for the program.
Jeff Cozad is Judge VZ's law clerk and he is probably the person most
knowledgeable about the new local rules. Judge Donovan refers to him as the
new Local Rules "Guru" and he will be doing most of the talking during the
program.
Jeff's #1 suggestion for those attending the program is that everyone print
out and read in advance the Table of Local Bankruptcy Rule Changes
Effective Jan 5, 2009. He also recommended that everyone bring a copy of
this Table with them to the meeting. I will try to attach a copy of the
Table to this email, but if that does not work, it is available on the
Court's website under Local Rules/Forms. Questions will be very welcome.
We look forward to another great turnout.

I am pleased to announce
that we have an additional speaker for the program. Jeff Cozad is Judge

he will be doing most of the talking during the program.

Jeff's #1 suggestion for
those attending the program is that everyone print out and read in advance the
Table of Local Bankruptcy Rule
Changes Effective Jan 5, 2009. He also recommended that
everyone bring a copy of this Table with them to the meeting. I will try
to attach a copy of the Table to this email, but if that does not work, it is
available on the Court's website under Local Rules/Forms. Questions
will be very welcome.

We look forward to another
great turnout.
