Question
If it was a no-asset Chapter 7, then failure to list any otherwise
dischargeable debt does not affect the discharge. See In re
Beezley, 994 F.2d 1433 (9th Cir. 1993) and In re Nielsen, 383 F.3d
922 (9th Cir. 2004).

Someone asked me this and I thought if the debt is discharged it is just discharged completely, doesnt matter if the wife was not listed as a creditor, am I right?
The question was:Husband and wife are creditors of a bankruptcy debtor on a promissory note in favor of the husband. The obligation was incurred during the marriage so is presumed to be community property. Debtor lists only the husband as the creditor. Is the debt obligation to the wife discharged or does the wife have any rights to collect on the debt after the Ch. 7 bankruptcy is closed?

*The short answer is yes, filing here can impact her ability to obtain
credit abroad. Europe uses the same credit reporting agencies as we do.
The only difference is that they do not use social security numbers to
investigate someone's creditworthiness; they use a person's address. *

Hi all:
I have a potential client who is considering filing Chapter 7.but is also
considering, either in addition to a bankruptcy or instead of a bankruptcy,
moving (back) to Italy.
Question: if client files Chapter 7 here, would it impact her ability to
obtain credit in Italy? Or, another way of stating the question is: do
banks and other creditors in foreign jurisdictions such as Italy use the
American credit bureaus in evaluating credit risk?
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks.and have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I used Gmail, and it automatically groups email's together and I forget that
not all email are created equal.
It was in reference to Dennis's question re covenant not to compete.

What question does this response respond to? A response like this is not very helpful as a learning tool to the rest of the group.
