How does Ch 11 Debtor hire a new vendor preconfirmation
use a motion to employ, just like an atty or accountant.

Hiring vendors is often done in the course of ordinary business. I think it depends on how much money you are talking about and what kind of contract. For example, replacing one cleaning crew with a different cleaning crew and signing a new contract would be ordinary course of business. Hiring a new vendor to do something that has never been done before would probably not be in the ordinary course of business.

Listmates,
Chapter 11 debtor owns an apartment building. The debtor's case has recently been filed, and the plan has not been confirmed. Debtor needs to hire and sign a contract with a new vendor.
What are the mechanics of hiring a new vendor while in chapter 11. Clearly hiring a new vendor is not something that is done in the ordinary course of business, so a court permission is necessary.
