Superior Court injunction stopping foreclosure when loan mod pending?

PC has gotten multiple postponements of foreclosure sale date while loan mod is pending and undecided. Most recent communication is that lender's rules changed, and no further postponements of sale scheduled for Monday; loan mod department is saying, we think we could grant the loan mod if we had more time, but foreclosure will end consideration.
Has any one tried for or succeeded in getting a TRO under these circumstances (which I suspect occur all the time, part of the national "bait and switch" loan mod denial program)?
