Philomena,
It's possible to do a motion to sever joint debtors (e.g.: who get
divorced) during a 13, but don't know if it's possible to do the
opposite. Before going too far, though, I'd question whether it's
necessary to bring nondebtor spouse formally into a 13, since all their
income, debts, and assets (assuming incurred during the marriage,
nondebtor spouse has no separate property, and no prenups) are already
in the petition,  and the protections of the automatic stay extend to
Chapter 13 codebtors (presumably the spouse in a community property
state) per Section 1301.

If husband files an individual Chapter 13, can he include his spouse to the case maybe after 6 months? Or does the spouse have to file a separate case and if yes, can both cases be combined as a joint filing? Thanks for your response.
