Hale and fellow members!
????? I talked with the assistant Clerk of the Courts and was informed of the following:
?The internet access is set up in all the Courts listed above but has not been rolled out.? It will take about 2-4 weeks for the final instructions to be prepared.? Once this occurs then all ECF members will receive an e-blast for access to the instructions as to how to get a "key" (think "code") to access it.?? The system is up and running but the bugs are being worked out of it first.? You may?be able to see it as a connection on your laptops now but will not be able to access it until we get the final instructions and the "key".?? Hang on -- its a coming!

I've been on the 3rd floor in WH and 13/16th floors in LA and seen wireless access with an ID "ATNY access" which requires a password.? Does anyone know of a way to sign up for wireless internet while at court?? There can be a couple of hours of waiting time for an appearance, and this would allow greater productivity for us lawyers.

Not sure what SIDATNY means, but the wireless card was my solution.

Understood. However, the impression I get is that the court is broadcasting
internet access as a service to attorneys. (SID "ATNY access") much as you
can sign up for wireless access at Starbucks. However, I could be wrong -
It won't be the first time I'm mistaken.
A verizonwireless card might not be a bad investment, though. Thanks!

You can get a wireless modem (cell phone modem) from all of the major
carriers and probably add it to your existing cell phone plan for nominal
dollars/month.
