Here are some suggestions:
1. California Secretary of State website for Agent for Service of Process (http://kepler.sos.ca.gov).
2. FDIC (http://www2.fdic.gov/idasp) website for member banks' corporate headquarters.
3. Bank website under contacts for address to which to send correspondence. Some actually give you an address for bankruptcy.
4. Proofs of claims filed in other cases for addresses given for notice.
5. Foreclosure Trustee website, NOD or NOS for address.
6. Rule 7004(b)(3) for proper service of process: "(3) Upon a domestic or foreign corporation or upon a partnership or other unincorporated association, by mailing a copy of the summons and complaint to the attention of an officer, a managing or general agent, or to any other agent authorized by appointment or by law to receive service of process and, if the agent is one authorized by statute to receive service and the statute so requires, by also mailing a copy to the defendant."

Margaret:
What was the address which Bank of America wanted used for bankruptcy? I currently use one address for credit cards, one address for home loans, one address for business loans, one address for commercial real estate loans, etc. Of course, Bank of America receives electronic notice of bankruptcy filings anyway, so...?

A client recently sent us an update on the address Bank of America wants to have us use for bankruptcy information. We use EZ file software which does not have a list of addresses that we can use and we rely on the client. I understand that the court maintains its list of creditor approved addresses. I cannot seem to access it--and I have searched the web. I remember seeing a software demonstration at a bar meeting which had that database plus the ability to check across the country for real property ownership. Please tell me what company that was.
