I did review past discussions before I reported my question b and doing some research late last night I found several people recently sending a discharge notice and the 341 notice to ChexSystems and ChexSystems deleting the account as derogatory since the bankruptcy discharge the debt. I'll take care of that with my client and further update the group on my own findings once we figure out everything with his situation

Why is this any different from a prepedtion credit card debt that appears as discharged on the debtor's credit report postdischarge? Reporting a bad debt is reporting a bad debt!

Chase may still have a special account for such debtors for a monthly
fee. Cannot get off the system from what I was told by a Chase rep a
year ago. A custodial type of account may work for SS

Has anyone found out how a client who is discharged in their Ch. 7 can get off of check systems to get a bank account? Especially since they are to received SSN income which must go into a bank account (from what they say).

I had the issue come up last year and placed my client with a bank who would
take them anyway, which I found of all places Google-ing check systems in a
effort to educate myself on the problem.
I still do not know how to "get someone out of the system " if you find out
I would lobe to hear about it.
Good Luck

Subject: [cdcbaa] Chex Systems
Debtors have been reported to Chex the bad check system. Debtors
file a bankruptcy proceeding and obtain discharge. They are, of
course, still in the Chex system and have problems whenever anyone
runs them through the sysytem. It would not appear that anyone is
attempting to collect a debt in violation of the stay or discharge
but I would like to attempt to get them out of the system as part of
their fresh start. Any thoughts?
