Excellent - thank you. I'll check it out, but it sounds like my worries are over. On this issue, at least.

I use Cin compass too. I contacted them about this issue. the data will stay on their server just the application will be installed on your computer. so you can install the application on multiple machines and access the same data anybody with the application should be able to get the data. So it will still be web based, just not browser based

Hello all: My current petition software, CINCompass, just announced that it is ending support for Firefox and Safari. Because I mostly use a Mac, this means that I have the option of continuing to use CINCompass only as a desk-bound app, not on the web. I'd rather have a web-based program: then I can share the petitions with my staff. Do any of you have recommendations for what I should switch to? - John D. Faucher --

John,
Of course you are absolutely right. I called CIN and Chrome already doesn't
support Silverlight (the underlying display technology the site is built on)
and Firefox is ending support December 31, 2016. Microsoft Edge doesn't
support it. So, for a time, only Internet Explorer or the desktop version
will work. I use BestCase deployed on an Azure Windows 2012 server for
remote access. We have MyECFMail loaded out on the server as well. With a
server install, you can log into BestCase from any machine, of course, by
using RDP (remote desktop).
I asked what the CIN split was between BestCase and CINCompass. CIN
indicated they have 18,000 of us on BestCase and about 3,000 on CINCompass.
