Will filing chapter 7 while still in college and receiving student
Debtor is in the middle of college and receiving student loan
disbursements. She has had to make a few payments to Navient on her Sallie
Mae loans, but that will cease next month and she is supposed to get
another loan disbursement from the same lender. (I do need to get more info
on why she was making payments on the loans already.). She has 2 years of
college left.
Will declaring bankruptcy (and listing her current loans) affect whether or
not she will continue to receive student loans from Sallie Mae/Navient for
the next two years?
I guess another question is does she currently "owe" these loans if they
are not in repayment? And if not, do they have to be listed?
