Hello:
I posted an invitation to join the Inn of Court, but Hale Antico emailed me that the format had been botched. I apologize for the error. -d-
Here is a reworded and (hopefully) properly formatted invitation:
You are again invited to join the Southern California Bankruptcy Inn of Court.
This year Judge Robles and Jim King will be copresidents of the Southern California Bankruptcy Inn of Court.
Judges Robles and Kwan are planning some special tours of the Bankruptcy court for Inn Members, including invitations to chambers and tours of places to which we attorneys are not generally invited.
When you join the INN, you are placed on a team and gain a mentor whom you can ask to help solve your bankruptcy puzzles.
Southern California Bankruptcy Inn of Court is sponsored by American Inns of Court.
The Southern California Bankruptcy Inn of Court is scheduled to meet SIX (6) times this 2013-2014 year:
October 8, 2013, November 12, 2013, February 11, 2014 March 11, 2014, May 13, 2014, June 10, 2014.
Each meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. with a reception. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.
Members are placed on teams, called pupilage teams.
Each pupilage, in turn, during one of the dinners, makes an mcle presentation (often in the form of a skit.) This year the board of the Inn has decided to cover Individual Chapter 11's from cradle to grave (that is, from the first phone call to filing a final decree, that means six hours of mcle on individual chapter 11's.)
The dinners are in a meeting room at the Downtown Daily Grill, 612 South Flower Street Los Angeles, California 90017
Fees to join the Inn are:
$450.00 for the year Masters of the Bench (Professors and Attorneys with 15 or more years of experience)
$400.00 for the year for Barristers (lawyers with 3 to 14 years of experience)
$375.00 for the year for Associates (lawyers with 0 to 2 years of experience)
$310.00 for the year for Pupils (law clerks and law students)
$350.00 for the year for Government Employees
