I have been using Macs and Safari since I started in 2009. No problems until I
upgraded to Mountain Lion about two weeks ago. Now I have the same problems you
describe: the ghost pdf files. Very frustrating.

Last I spoke with someone at ECF about this (couple of years ago) the
person told me that their techs format for Internet Explorer and that is
the best one to use.

Found the solution to the Safari problem!
Just drag the file from your folder window and drop it onto the "Choose File" box in CM/ECF.
Voil!

Has anyone had the same issue, and if so, what do you do?

My macs work fine for pacer retrieval with Firefox, sometimes issues with Safari; my assistant goes back and forth with firefox, safari and chrome for filings, because they all have unpredictable glitches.

By the way, they have junked it up so bad that I have to use Safari to download
from PACER, but can only use Firefox to Upload on ECF. A number of programers
have told me that the Gov's tech folk are on weak side. A few other Mac folks,
like Larry Kraines, have also had problems.

Hello All:
I use both Chrome and Safari as browsers on my Mac.
I have been unable to use Chrome to upload documents on ECF for some
time; the browser does not recognize pdf's on my hard drive (they show up,
but not distinctly, and do not attach when I click on them).
Safari was working perfectly for this, but I recently had to reset
most of the old settings on the computer, and now it is acting the same
way: I can see a ghost of a file which won't attach when clicked.
Has anyone had the same issue, and if so, what do you do?
