Any such statute should be unconstitutional. The reason I say this is
because the code contemplates a situation where the partners of a
partnership force the partnership into an involuntary bk. See 303(b)(3).
The things you learn by going to the specialization classes taught by Wes
and Dennis.

Off the top of my head, isn't there a statute that dissolves the
partnership upon the filing of a BK by one of the partners? Or am I
thinking of a different type of entity?

I noted that this debtor listed his partnership interests in DLA Piper in his schedules. I am sure his law partners are excited to have the Chapter 7 trustee as their new law partner. Back in the day when I did big law, the rule was that the partner has to resign from law partnership prior to filing for BK, because the partners did not want a trustee involved the business of the law firm.
