New Holographic signature requirement as of 12/1/17=
I have never understood why, but when I run a file through OCR, it almost always gives it a much smaller digital footprint than before the OCR.

Did that as well. Scanned at 100dpi, 150dpi, and 200dpi...no ocr.
The only one under 2MBs was 100dpi, which was fairly illegible. The others came in at 5MBs, 8MBs and even 13MBs. Twas a fun day.

Im assuming you are physically meeting with the client. Print petition. Client signs petition while keeping pages in order. Scan petition. No need to remove or insert signature pages. If you are doing a remote signing and having the client just send back signature pages then yes I see your dilemma. Shannon A. Why are you inserting signature pages? Why not just scan the entire signed petition in as one pdf, replace it with the one Best Case generates and rename accordingly? One touch. Boom youre done. It is the same process you had to do before with the credit counseling cert, statement of social security number and employer cert. Now you just do it with the petition as well. Shannon A. Subject: [cdcbaa] Re: New Holographic signature requirement as of 12/1/17rint out petition, insert signature pages, scan back in VS insert PDF of "wet" signature pages behind the electronicsignature pages in Best Case) - and both methods suck.A person at Best Case told me thatCDC may be the only jurisdiction doing it this way. Apparently the more common practice now evolving is to create a pdf of all of the signature pages and file them separately from the electronically signed compete petition. Basically file the way wehave for the past 12 years and upload a PDF of all wet signatures in lieu of uploadingonly the Electronic Filing Declaration. Is there any discussion from anyone involved with any bench bar committees that have raised this (or may be willing to raise this) to the judges? I believe this would greatly simplify the process for practitioners and still meet the apparent goal of wet signatures on file.| | Virus-free. www.avg.com |
