That's exactly what I was thinking as well. I have a hunch that some of
our hetero clients are not legally married but no one hauls them in front
of the judge to show their marriage certificate.

My wife and I had a confidential marriage (psst: dont tell anyone) with the barest of bare bones ceremonies during our lunch break. I doubt we can find the certificate, so I hope we dont need to file. After all Pat Green and Kate Fitzgerald might be of the same gender, or at least look that way on paper.

11 USC 302 requires "spouses" for joint filing
LBR 1002-1(g) requires showing evidence to support joint filing (eg marriage license) at 341(a) hearing.
ER seems to be trying to make sure 302 is being complied with by these debtors.

11 USC 302 requires "spouses" for joint filing
LBR 1002-1(g) requires showing evidence to support joint filing (eg marriage license) at 341(a) hearing.
ER seems to be trying to make sure 302 is being complied with by these debtors.
