Latest on SB 308 - please read
The very latest on SB 308.is that the credit union and bankers lobby are
hitting the Assembly Members hard with a misinformation campaign. They are
walking the halls of Sacramento and visiting every member in a effort to
kill this bill. In an effort to compromise, and get the votes needed, the
"ride through" language has been dropped.
It is unclear whether we have the votes or not. The bill must be voted
on this week. I urge all of you to pick up the phone and call your assembly
members' office on Tuesday and ask them to support this bill. We are up
against a well funded machine. The only way we stand a chance is to show
them that lots of real people need this legislation. Please take time on
Tuesday to reach out. This is the last chance. Thanks to all of you that
have reached out in support of this bill in the past. Without us all
pushing this along the bill would have been killed months ago.
