Fair Credit Reporting Referral

Shannon, the lender's refusal to do a rapid rescoring based on
post-bankruptcy proof of payment is an internal underwriting matter, not
FCRA. There is no law requiring a lender to consider any particular piece
of information, so I'd say your client is going to need to look elsewhere
for financing.

Potential client is unable to get a government refinance on her home
because her mortgage company is not reporting current mortgage payments
due to a prior Chapter 7 (in '08) with no reaffirmation of the mortgage.
She provided a payment history of her mortgage to the new lender but
they won't consider it for credit score purposes. If anyone handles
Fair Credit Reporting and this is some sort of violation, I can refer
the potential client to you.
