Colleagues,
I have a current Chapter 13 client who is paying her mortgage throughout
2011 with a confirmed Plan. Trustee is paying arrears.
Client calls the loan servicer, "AURORA" and was verbally told that she
would not be receiving a Form 1098 for 2011 as all of her payments were
applied to 2010! My office has not received a Form 1098 for this client to
date.
Unbelievable. Since I'm still experiencing "firsts" here in my practice, I
seek advice on how the group addresses these concerns on behalf of their
clients. I am also asking this of a CPA from a tax standpoint as well.
Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
